Laser Technology, Inc. released the PicoDigiCam LR (Pico LR), the next generation of laser-based photo speed enforcement. The Pico LR is capable of producing vivid licenses plate images father than any mobile system available and offers remote viewing and operation, creating a safer solution for officers while increasing efficiency.
The PicoLR includes a 300 mm lens, giving it the ability to capture crystal clear images of license plates up to 900 ft. away. This gives the officer more options for a safer positon to setup the system and decreases the time between the violations making the process more efficient. This high-quality lens integrates with the Pico LR electronically, giving a user the ability to adjust the auto-focus, auto-iris and change the lens from a day filter to an infrared night filter all without touching the system.
The PicoLR has an Ethernet port, which enables the violation data to be quickly downloaded to other devices, such as a larger external screen or to a remote office. ShareView, an LTI exclusive software utility, lets the user view the violations and even operate the Pico LR including the lens adjustments.
Designed to be simple to operate and quick to set up, the Pico LR promises to be an effective addition to any department’s traffic enforcement arsenal and completes LTI’s product portfolio of a wide range of photo lidar solutions. The Pico LR is now one of the most affordable mobile systems available on the market with such long range capabilities and the ability for remote operation.
“We have been responsible for developing the most advanced photo-lidar systems for speed enforcement for over 25 years. It all started with the original LaserCAM, the first successful integration of a laser speed device, camera and electronic data collector. The Pico LR has set the bar once again on capturing indisputable speed evidence at longer ranges,” says Eric Miller, Laser Technology’s President.
